Con-way Truckload Recognized for Superior Performance by United Sugars Corporation

JOPLIN, Mo. — Con-way Truckload, a full truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced it was recently honored with the 2012 Service in Excellence Award from United Sugars Corporation, the leading marketer of industrial sugar in North America. Con-way Truckload received the award for providing superior shipping performance, on-time service and reliability. This is the fifth consecutive year United Sugars has honored the carrier with this award.

“Con-way Truckload is a very important carrier to United Sugars. They provide exceptional service to our customers and could not be more deserving of this recognition,” said Darla Willoughby, transportation manager of administration and carrier development at United Sugars.

Con-way Truckload was presented with the award at the 2012 United Sugars Corporation Transportation and Outside Facilities Conference in Detroit Lakes, Minn. This is the 11th Service in Excellence recognition United Sugars has awarded.

To qualify for the award, the carrier must have shipped 500 loads of sugar and received no more than five customer complaints within 12 months. Con-way Truckload exceeded the requirements by shipping 620 loads and receiving one complaint. Con-way Truckload currently ships out of United Sugars’ facilities in Florida, North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana.
