CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Total Quality Logistics (TQL) is relocating and expanding into 15,000 sq. ft. of new office space in Charlotte, N.C. The company’s new office is located in the Forest Park Business Park where the company currently employs 40, but plans to add up to 100 additional sales professionals by the end of 2015.
“Our national sales offices are extremely important to our ability to grow our market share within the third-party logistics industry,” said Kerry Byrne, TQL executive vice president.
TQL credits its national expansion strategy as a key component to its impressive organic growth, from a Cincinnati, Ohio start-up in 1997 to today being the second largest freight brokerage firm in the nation based on revenue, as ranked by Transport Topics magazine.
As one of the largest third-party logistics providers, TQL connects shippers who have product that needs to be moved with truckload carriers who have the capacity to move it. The company identifies the right trucks for particular freight loads, negotiates rates, and ensures on-time delivery. In 2012, the company arranged the movement of more than 600,000 loads of freight and posted total sales of more than $1.3 billion.
Earlier this year, TQL was recognized as one of the 2013 Best Employers in North Carolina by Business North Carolina, in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – NC State Council and Best Companies Group. TQL is hiring and interested candidates should visit the company’s web site at www.tqljobs.com.
TQL’s new Charlotte business address is 820 Forest Point Circle, Suite 110. The company’s office was formerly located on Rexford Road.
