More transportation services and a bigger agent network helped logistics operator AutoInfo increase gross revenue 14.4 percent to $320 million last year.
The non-asset company boosted net profit 16 percent to $3.6 million, while operating profit rose 12.3 percent to $6.4 million, AutoInfo said Friday.
Boca Raton, Fla.-based AutoInfo, which operates Sunteck Transport Group and E-Transport Group, benefited from the acquisition of a truck agent last July.
That agent brought more than 300 owner-operators to Sunteck Transport.
In November, Michael P. Williams was named president of AutoInfo and Sunteck. Williams joined AutoInfo in 2007 as general counsel and chief operating officer.
The company will pursue “strategic growth and other opportunities” in 2012 as it expands its agent network, Chairman and CEO Harry Wachtel said in a statement.
