Echo Global Logistics Expands in Arizona

Echo Global Logistics is expanding its offices in Arizona to accommodate the addition of employees through the acquisition of Advantage Transport.

Chicago-based Echo acquired truckload freight brokerage Advantage Transport, a $26 million company, last July, expanding its reach in the Southwest.

The move to a new 11,000-square-foot office in Scottsdale will help Echo expand its staff in the Phoenix area from 54 to about 120 employees, the company said.

Echo “needed to expand to a larger location in order to manage the newly retained staff members,” CEO Doug Waggoner said in a statement Monday.

Since Echo was founded in 2006, the freight brokerage and logistics company has expanded rapidly, growing 1,716 percent from a starting point of $33.2 million.

Last year, Echo increased its revenue 41 percent to $602.8 million. The company’s goal is to reach $1.3 billion to $1.5 billion over the next five years.
