Used Truck Sales Fall 16 Percent

Sales of used Class 8 trucks fell 16 percent in November from the previous month, as prices rose, according to ACT Research.

“The good news is that prices in November saw a sharp increase over October and year-over-year,” Steve Tam, vice president for the commercial vehicle sector at ACT Research, said in a written statement. Prices had fallen year-over-year in September and October.

“Looking forward to 2013, prices are likely to remain elevated, though growth will be a stretched,” Tam said.
