The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) recently announced the recipients of the 2015 TMSA Compass Awards Program. In its 63rd year of existence, this awards program recognizes marketing and sales best practices by transportation and logistics companies that ultimately demonstrate effective execution and measurable business results.

"The Compass Awards Program continues to raise the standard of marketing innovation and sales performance in our industry," said Jodi Cape, marketing manager for LeSaint Logistics, and the 2015 chairperson of TMSA Recognition Committee. "This is a coveted awards program that plays a meaningful role in raising the bar in this industry's marketing and sales disciplines."

This year, TMSA received nearly 80 entries from more than 35 companies. All entries were judged by qualified marketing and sales executives in the transportation and logistics industry using 6-point proven scaling system to evaluate the written strategies and actual creative work of each entry. Total points earned determine whether a recipient receives an award of excellence (the highest level of the award) or an award of merit.

This year's Compass Awards program featured 14 submission categories: Integrated Campaign, Single or Multiple Advertisement Campaigns, Onsite/Offsite Events, Direct Marketing Campaign, Marketing and Sales Collateral, Web-Based Sales and Marketing, Media Relations, Diversity Campaign, Infographic, CRM Solution, Sales and Marketing Collaborated Effort, Product Development, and Pricing Process and Analysis.

Recipients earning a 2015 Compass Award of Excellence are: ArcBest Corp., Cardinal Health Integrated Logistics Services, Crowley Maritime, CSX Transportation Intermodal, Kenco, LeSaint Logistics, M33 Integrated, Mode Transportation, Saddle Creek Logistics Services, SCM3, and The Reliance Network.

Recipients earning a 2015 Compass Award of Merit are: Burris Logistics, CLX Logistics, Green Mountain Technology, LeSaint Logistics, LLamasoft Inc., Maersk Line, McLeod Software, New Penn, PITT OHIO, Reddaway, The Reliance Network, San Joaquin Regional Transit District, Suddath Global Logistics, Swift Transportation, TransGroup Worldwide Logistics, and Truckstop.com.

Marketing firms receiving Compass Awards in support of client campaigns are MindShare Strategies, roux, and CKL Communications.

"The Compass Awards Program provides transportation and logistics companies with the opportunity to showcase their best work in marketing and communication strategies and sales performance," said Brian Everett, CEO of TMSA. "In addition, recipients of this prestigious award receive recognition from peers while they benchmark work against others in the industry." All award recipients will be honored at an awards gala June 9 during TMSA's Logistics Marketing & Sales Leadership Conference in St. Petersburg, Fla.
