Transport America Announces Leadership Transition

EAGAN, Minn., May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Transport Corporation of America, Inc. ("Transport America") announced today that Scott Arves will be stepping down as President effective June 1, 2015. Keith Klein, Transport America's Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer will succeed Mr. Arves as President.

Mr. Arves has been a leader in the transportation industry for over 36 years, and has served as President of Transport America for the last 9 years. During his tenure, Transport America moved from public to private, dramatically improved operating results, and was successful in a sale to TransForce Inc. (TSX:TFI) in July of 2014. In addition, the Company earned the Quest for Quality, Best of the Best Award twice in the last four years.

Mr. Klein has been with Transport America since 1999, and has held several positions, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Mr. Klein held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Klein has been active in the Minnesota Trucking Association since 2001, serving as Chairman from 2009 through 2011. "Transport America is a wonderful company.
