Trucking company R+L Carriers is speeding shipments with a new bundle of expedited, mode-neutral services, the motor carrier said Dec. 5.
R+L’s Business Critical Solutions provide same-day, next-day or one- to two-day transit times using less-than-truckload and expedited ground and air service.
The offerings include a new domestic service called Weekend Express that guarantees freight shipped on a Friday will arrive the following Monday, R+L said.
"We created a system of strategic air and ground solutions that enable us to deliver freight on our customers’ timeline,” said Vice President Greg Bronner.
R+L is the eighth largest LTL carrier in North America, and the second-largest privately owned LTL carrier, according to SJ Consulting Group research.
The Wilmington, Ohio-based company had about $1.2 billion in LTL revenue in 2011, a 12.1 percent increase from 2010, according to SJ Consulting.
