Cookeville, Tenn.-based transportation and logistics company Averitt Express has shortened its less-than-truckload service times to eastern Canada, including Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City.
The improvements were made possible by operational adjustments within Averitt’s network, the company said, as well as the network of Kingsway Transport, a fellow member of The Reliance Network, a group of regional carriers.
“Canada is the United States’ largest trading partner, so Canada is a critical market for our customers,” said Phil Pierce, Averitt’s executive vice president of sales and marketing.
