A.R.T. Logistics has launched a twice-monthly less-than-truckload service connecting Europe to Ulan Bator in Mongolia.
“We launched the trucking service primarily to meet growing demand from international mining companies operating in Mongolia,” said Tatiana Serova, commercial director of the multimodal logistics company, in a written statement. “Apart from mining equipment, we are transporting essential supplies for mining personnel.”
Future plans include extending the Mongolia service to the North American market and eventually to Australia and Southeast Asia, the company said.
