ATA to Hold Natural Gas Summit

The American Trucking Associations will hold its first-ever conference in late November on the opportunities burgeoning natural gas production could provide to the trucking industry.

The ATA Summit on Natural Gas in Trucking will focus on issues ranging from natural gas-powered engines, fuel infrastructure and federal regulation. The conference on Nov. 28-30 in Arlington, Va., comes as more shippers and carriers consider natural gas-powered fleets but are unclear on the true costs and challenges.

“There has been a great deal of discussion about natural gas, but until now, no one has brought together all the pieces of the puzzle to show the whole picture. This summit will accomplish exactly that,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves.
