Canadian trucking giant TransForce acquired certain assets of Peak USA Energy Services, an oilfield trucking business in Texas, for approximately $10 million.
Peak USA was acquired by IE Miller, an energy services company TransForce acquired last year. TransForce also acquired same-day carrier Dynamex in 2010.
Earlier this year, TransForce completed the acquisition of Quik X, an expedited less-than-truckload carrier with 17 terminals across Canada and the U.S.
Peak USA, which specializes in rig moving, custom heavy hauling, crane and rigging services and oilfield transportation, operates multiple terminals in Texas.
The company, previously owned by Nabors Industries, is expected to add $25 million in annual revenue to the top line of $2.7 billion TransForce.
TransForce has grown by acquiring companies in a broad range of transportation industries, from heavy hauling to package and industrial freight shipping.
The Montreal-based group functions as a holding company for nearly 70 package and courier, LTL and truckload and specialized trucking subsidiaries.
