The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is offering a series of workshops, seminars and panel discussions on Sunday, November 13. These sessions are open to all registered participants attending the joint TIA, Intermodal Association of North America and National Industrial Transportation League meeting November 12 – 15 held in Atlanta, GA.

If you’re not in Atlanta on November 12 through 15, you will miss what is arguably one of the best educational opportunities of the year. The topics include:
- a top down look at intermodal;
- an update on pending legislative and regulatory initiatives that could impact the transportation industry;
- a discussion of how to be successful selling in today's market;
- a workshop on current contract issues including state liability limitation provisions and trends; finishing, the day with a session on “Analysis and Analyzing Your Business”.

“The TIA Sunday Workshops are designed to be interactive sessions on the practical issues affecting shippers, 3PLs, and carriers. The sessions will be very interactive and are designed for participants to learn, share, and discuss,” said TIA President & CEO Robert Voltmann. “Come for one session or spend the day. Share lunch and gain marketing techniques for growing even in this economy. No Power Point here, industry leaders will share some ideas, but the discussion will be frank, interactive, and lead by you,” Voltmann added.

In addition to the TIA workshops, attendees will also be able to participate in educational sessions on Monday, November 14 which includes topics such as “What Do Shippers Want?” and “Sustainability in the Freight Transportation Industry.”

As in past years, TIA is meeting jointly with National Industrial Transportation League and the Intermodal Association of North America who sponsor TransComp/Intermodal Expo, the largest transportation trade show in the country.

The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is the professional organization of the $162 billion third party logistics industry. TIA is the only organization exclusively representing transportation intermediaries of all disciplines, doing business in domestic and international commerce. TIA is the voice of transportation intermediaries to shippers, carriers, government officials and international organizations. TIA is the United States member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarder Associations, FIATA.
