Avnet Adds E-Tracking Options

Avnet’s e-commerce arm unveiled features allowing customers to track their inventory in bonded warehouses and create customized order reports, as the major electronic distributor beefed up its supply chain managment platform.

Avnet Express said the bonded inventory option allows customers to see their product inventory, made changes and track the entire supply chain. Customers can also create order reports reflecting orders to be shipped within a designated number of days, pending orders and order status.

“These web enhancements help to mitigate supply chain uncertainties by giving our customers greater access to inventory and increased control over their shipments,” said Beth Ely, the Phoenix-based company’s vice president.

Avnet Express’s parametric search capabilities give customers the ability to upload a bill of materials for easier product sourcing and a steady global platform of localized content.
