Sandy Recovery Improvement Act Goes to Obama

The U.S. Senate this week approved the Sandy Recovery Improvement Act of 2013, HR 219, which is intended to fast-track aid to communities recovering from Hurricane Sandy and reduce recovery costs. The bipartisan bill now awaits the president's signature.

The bill was approved by the House earlier in January. It was introduced in the House by Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure leaders.
