India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has established the Air Cargo Logistic Promotion Board, an inter-ministerial group, to lay down a policy framework to govern air cargo operations in the country.
The board’s establishment was recommended by the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s working group on the air cargo and express service industry.
India’s air cargo represents more than 30 percent of total merchandise trade, Minister of State for Civil Aviation K.C. Venugopal said in a written statement.
