Federal Highway Administration Selects Rayman to Head Freight Office

The Federal Highway Administration today selected Caitlin Hughes Rayman, Maryland Department of Transportation’s Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy and Freight, to be the director of the FHA’s Office of Freight Management and Operations, succeeding Tony Furst.

As an active member of the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors while at Maryland DOT, Rayman was responsible for managing legislation and policy aimed at improving multimodal freight transportation.

Before joining Maryland DOT in 2007, she served as the federal legislative programs coordinator for North Carolina DOT, where she worked on freight mobility issues.
