President Obama re-nominated Customs Commissioner Alan Bersin on Thursday along with Rebecca F. Dye and Mario Cordero to the Federal Maritime Commissioner among more than 80 officials the White House will seek again to win Senate approval.
The administration candidates went through committee hearings in 2010 but were not confirmed before Congress adjourned last month.

Senate Leaves 100 Appointments Unconfirmed
Eric Hirschhorn, deputy secretary for export administration at the Commerce Department, was also on the list. Obama appointed Hirschhorn and Bersin to their offices during a congressional recess last year. They can serve until the end of 2011 without Senate confirmation.
