Regal Logistics launches chassis pool service with new Hyundai Translead containers

JOC Staff |
May 7, 2012 Fife, WA Using its newly purchased chassis pool, Regal Logistics is ready to meet the growing demand for right off/right on container service at Pacific Northwest piers including the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle.

Steamship lines are eliminating chassis provision at ports to cut costs.
This is already affecting operations on the West coast, and rapidly spreading to the East coast.

³In most cases, truckers will now bear the burden of efficiently moving containers at the pier,² says Garry Neeves, Vice President, Regal Logistics. ³But many are not equipped to meet customer demand, which is where Regal comes in with our new chassis pool service designed to move goods to market more reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively.²

Regal purchased state-of-the-art container chassis from Hyundai Translead, the number one selling North American manufacturer. The new pool is maintained and operated out of the third party logistics provider¹s Pacific Northwest location as part of its comprehensive Regal Trucking Drayage service.

We¹re very pleased that Regal selected us to be their equipment provider for this new venture.²

Regal Logistics anticipates rolling out its chassis pool service to its East coast location at the Port of Charleston soon.
