The Florida East Coast Railway has signed a joint marketing agreement with Port Everglades to promote its new 42.5-acre intermodal container transfer facility in South Florida, which is scheduled for completion in spring 2014.
The facility will be adjacent to the Southport container terminals at Port Everglades, facilitating containerized cargo transfer through the port to and from the FEC main line.
FEC signed a lease with Broward County in March to build and operate the facility for 30 years.
