Pacer Names Director

Pacer International appointed Robert J. Grassi to the board of directors effective March 1.

The transportation industry veteran retired as president and CEO of CSX World Terminals in 2003 and now works as a management and financial support consultant for transportation clients.

"Bob brings an impressive combination of financial, operational and management expertise to Pacer that will be an asset as we move forward with our key strategic initiatives," said Michael E. Uremovich, chairman and CEO.

Grassi will serve on the board's audit committee and qualifies as an audit committee financial expert under SEC regulations. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs with an MBA from the City University of New York.
