The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, Maintenance of Way Division, representing 2,600 track maintenance workers, and Canadian Pacific Railway today reached a tentative five-year contract settlement, ahead of the contract’s expiration at the end of December.
“The Teamsters’ bargaining committee unanimously endorses this tentative agreement and is recommending the membership ratify it,” said Bill Brehl, president of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, Maintenance of Way Employees Division.
The memorandum of settlement will be sent to the union membership next week, with results from the vote expected in mid-January 2013.
