Indian Railways' Freight Traffic Rises 6.4 Percent

Indian Railways hauled 92.6 million metric tons of revenue-earning freight in January, up 6.4 percent from the total in January 2012.

For the 10 months from April 2012 to January 2013, Indian Railways reported 827.9 million metric tons of revenue-earning freight traffic, up 4.6 percent from the total hauled from April 2011 to January 2012.
