Indian Railways reported its revenue-earning freight traffic from April 2012 to February 2013 was 911.53 million metric tons, increasing 35.93 million metric tons, or 4.1 percent, from the same period in the previous year.
In February, revenue-earning freight traffic carried by the Indian state-owned enterprise was 83.60 million metric tons, down 0.16 million metric tons, or 0.2 percent, from 83.76 million metric tons in February 2012.
