Class I railroad Norfolk Southern today opened a new $97 million intermodal terminal in South Central Pennsylvania, advancing the company’s Crescent Corridor series of project, which is a multi-state infrastructure initiative connecting the Southeast and Northeast.
The Franklin County Regional Intermodal Facility is located on 200 acres south of Greencastle.
The facility is a public-private partnership involving $52 million in NS funds and supported by a $45 million investment by Pennsylvania.
