Zenith Global Logistics has relocated its Elkton, Md., freight hub to an Aberdeen, Md., facility.
The new hub totals 88,000 square feet, expanding the specialized furniture carrier and third-party logistics provider’s square footage by 300 percent.
“This new location was chosen strategically and specifically to enable our dispatching operation to deal with the latest hours of service changes required by the latest Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability rules,” said Jack Hawn, president and CEO of Zenith Global Logistics, in a written statement. “Our goal was to select a location that would ensure our drivers could consistently transport product from North Carolina to Maryland within the new driving time limits.”
The expansion is part of a strategic growth plan the company has been operating under during the past several years. Future plans include a new facility in California.
