UPS has named Jeff McCorstin as president of UPS freight forwarding in the Asia-Pacific region.
Now based in Singapore, McCorstin assumes responsibility for air, ocean, road and rail freight strategy; revenue growth; and specialized transportation services for industry verticals, including health care, high tech, retail and automotive in Asia-Pacific. His appointment continues UPS’s focus on strengthening its global freight forwarding options in the region, the company said.
McCorstin, who has had a 23-year career with UPS, started as a package delivery driver in California in 1990, rising to leadership roles in engineering, finance, strategy and, most recently, freight forwarding. In 2005, McCorstin was named CFO of UPS Europe, Middle East and Africa, and in 2008, he was named managing director of UPS EMEA freight forwarding. Most recently, McCorstin was senior vice president of international air and ocean freight, based in Atlanta. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of California and an MBA in finance from San Diego State University.
