DHL Express will increase its general average price throughout the Asia-Pacific region by about 5 percent, starting Jan. 1, 2014.
“Our annual price increase is targeted first and foremost at ensuring a competitive, sustainable value proposition for our customers,” said Ken Allen, CEO of the express service, in a written statement. “Through this process, we are able to maintain a competitive cost base, while at the same time investing in the quality of our network.”
DHL Express adjusts its prices annually, taking into account inflation and other rising costs. Price adjustments vary from country to country, depending on local conditions, and will apply to all customers where contracts allow.
