Crane Worldwide Logistics has expanded its presence in India by opening a new office in Delhi.
“Delhi has long been known as the air freight gateway for North India,” John Magee, president and CEO of Houston-based Crane Worldwide said in a written statement. “India’s customs clearance was recently changed to a 24/7 basis in Delhi and three of its other airports. Our new office is strategically placed to provide the full range of services out of the Delhi office to our customers.”
“The Delhi office is important because we want to continue to provide our customers in India with high touch, high value services,” Magee said. He added that the office will focus on growth for the next year.
The Delhi location is Crane Worldwide’s sixth in the country. Its other stations are in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Vadodara. The company first entered the Indian market in November 2008.
Rohit Thussu, Crane Worldwide’s sales director in India, will head up the office, which will serve the company’s clients based out of Delhi-NCR and in northern India.
Crane Worldwide currently has 101 locations in 25 countries.
