U.S. agricultural exports continued to decline year-over-year for a fourth straight month in June. U.S. agriculture exports totaled $9.84 billion in June, down 3.1 percent year-over-year, and the first time since September 2011 below $10 billion.
The value of June's agriculture exports fell 5 percent from May, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. U.S. agriculture exports totaled $68 billion for the first six months of 2013.
U.S. agriculture imports in June were flat year-over-year, following four months of year-over-year increases. From May, the import value dropped 10.3 percent to reach $8.45 billion. U.S. agriculture imports totaled about $54 billion for the first six months of 2013.
