Seacor Holdings reported its net income in the second quarter of 2013 was $19.3 million, increasing 71.3 percent from $11.2 million in the second quarter of 2012.
Quarterly revenue for the marine transportation equipment provider was $315.6 million, compared with $309.2 million in the same period last year.
Revenue from offshore marine services was $138.7 million in the second quarter, compared with $124.0 million in the preceding quarter. Meanwhile, revenue from inland river services was $47.4 million in the second quarter, down quarter-over-quarter from $50.1 million, but revenue from shipping services was $48.1 million, up from $46.5 million.
In the first six months of 2013, net income was $8.4 million, plummeting from $47.7 million in the first six months of 2012. From January to June, revenue was $582.6 million, falling from $607.1 million in the first half of last year.
