Echo Global Logistics reported net income of $3.9 million in the second quarter of 2013, a 3 percent increase $3.8 million in the second quarter of 2012.
Quarterly revenue for the transportation and supply chain management company was $224.1 million, jumping 21 percent from $185.2 million in the same quarter last year.
“Echo posted another quarter of double-digit revenue growth,” said Doug Waggoner, CEO of Echo, in a written statement. “Echo’s second quarter results suggest to us that our consistent execution of our strategy is resulting in the increased profitability of our business.”
Waggoner also noted revenue was up 24 percent year-over-year through the first few weeks of July. He said the company expects continued growth and believes revenue will be between $900 million and $940 million in 2013.
