DB Schenker has opened a new logistics center in South Korea to provide health care and pharmaceutical supply chain services.
The facility is located in Gunpo, near Seoul, and constructed over an area of about 6,100 square meters (approximately 65,660 square feet). It is equipped for health care operations, including cold storage and specialized vaults for pharmaceuticals products, such as psychotropic and radioactive items.
DB Schenker also plans to open health care logistics hubs in Singapore, Sweden, Australia and the Netherlands.
“Health care logistics is more than just moving boxes,” said Peter Logan, vice president of the vertical health care market and contract logistics and supply chain management at DB Schenker, in a written statement. “It is a critical part of our job to deliver safe, effective health care products to save lives.”
