The Michigan Department of Transportation’s draft Michigan Freight Plan, a supplement to the 2035 MI Transportation Plan, is available for public review through Aug. 7, via the State Long Range Plan Web site.
The draft Michigan Freight Plan provides an overview of the state’s freight transportation system, including existing assets, system performance and investments required to ensure long-term success. As a multi-modal and intermodal resource, the plan is expected to serve as an overall framework for Michigan freight system improvements and priorities, including a list of statewide projects designed to address freight mobility in the state.
A public webinar to discuss the plan in detail is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. local time on July 24. The public is invited to send comments via e-mail to email@example.com or by telephone to 517-241-4819.
