Singapore Airlines Cargo has appointed Lik Hsin Lee its new president, effective Aug. 1, 2013.
Lee will succeed Kai Ping Tan, who will return to parent company Singapore Airlines as senior vice president of corporate planning, a post currently held by Lee. The management changes are part of an ongoing program to rotate senior executives into different roles within the SIA Group, Singapore Airlines Cargo said in a written statement.
Lee has been with Singapore Airlines since 1994 and has served in various positions in the head office and overseas, including Beijing, San Francisco and Tokyoa. He has been senior vice president of corporate planning since early 2011, and before that, he was division vice president of planning.
Tan has been president of SIA Cargo since early 2010. He joined Singapore Airlines in 1995 and has held senior-level positions in SIA’s cargo division before being seconded in 2005 as president of Shanghai-based Great Wall Airlines. He returned to SIA Cargo in October 2008 as senior vice president of operations.
