TOTE Logistics has named John Armstrong as vice president of logistics and Gene Carlson as vice president of trucking operations for its subsidiary Carlile Transportation Systems.
Armstrong joins Carlile from Alta Logistics, another subsidiary of TOTE Logistics, where he was the director of logistics. He has experience in leadership, operations and logistical supply chain management and is familiar with the Alaska and Pacific Northwest markets after having worked in Alaska for many years. Armstrong and his team will be based in Tacoma, Wash.
Carlson previously held the position of vice president of special projects for Carlile. In his new position, he will oversee the heavy haul, equipment repair and maintenance, line haul and bulk departments. He will be based in Anchorage, Ala.
TOTE Logistics, which specializes in transportation and supply chain, also has appointed Linda Leary as vice president of commercial development, Geoffrey Hawtrey as vice president of support services and Jeff Palmer as controller for the parent company.
