Maher Terminals at the Port of New York and New Jersey has diverted two more vessels to other marine terminals to be discharged, as the terminal operator struggles to get back on track after problems with installation of a new Navis terminal operating system. Seven vessels in total have now been diverted.
The Zim Savannah, voyage 037, and the APL President Truman, voyage 236, were diverted to APM Terminals in Port Elizabeth in New Jersey. Import cargo off these vessels can be picked up there.
The terminal had a “minor system issue” at startup today, although it has already been resolved. Its inbound queue at 8:15 a.m. local time was four trucks deep.
