Yourway Transport will expand its biopharmaceutical services in Lehigh Valley, Pa., according to Pennsylvania’s Gov. Tom Corbett.
The refrigerated logistics provider, which specializes in the pharmaceutical, biological and aerospace industries, will renovate its existing 120,000 square foot facility to support the expansion of the company’s biopharma services to include logistics and delivery for clinical trials services.
Yourway will invest more $11.5 million in renovations, infrastructure improvements, new equipment and employee training. The company received a funding offer from the state’s Department of Community and Economic Development, including a $350,000 Pennsylvania First grant, $516,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and $116,100 from the Guaranteed Free Training Program. It will also receive a $1.75 million loan from the Machine and Equipment Loan Fund.
“The new facility will significantly increase our ability to service the clinical trial material supply chain,” said Gulam Jaffer, president of Yourway Transport, in a written statement.
The project was coordinated by the governor’s action team in collaboration with the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp.
