Shreyas Shipping and Logistics, India’s leading coastal container carrier and multimodal logistics company, posted a consolidated net profit of Rs. 15.40 crore (about $2.75 million) in fiscal year 2012-13, up 175 percent from $1 million a year earlier.
Total revenue in 2012-13, which ended March 31, 2013, was $69.2 million, increasing 44 percent year-on-year.
Shreyas’ net profit in the last quarter rose 2.5 percent to $1.12 million. Quarterly revenue was $20 million, up 40 percent from $14.3 million.
The Mumbai-based company, which recently launched a fortnightly feeder service between India and Sri Lanka, currently operates a fleet of six vessels.
