Maher Terminals will implement the final phase of its terminal operating system at the Port of New York and New Jersey this weekend (of June 8), and as a result, will be altering its schedule.
All truck gate operations will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, and the terminal will be closed on Friday, June 7. On Saturday, June 8, there will be limited vessel activity in the afternoon.
On Sunday, June 9, the container terminal operator will operate a limited gate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., which will include the main chassis depot, to test the gate and clerical functionality of the new system. Truckers who want to participate must register with the terminal in advance to gain access. Requests should be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The terminal will reopen for normal business on Monday, June 10.
