Watco Companies has named Matt McKenzie as executive vice president and CFO.
McKenzie has been serving as interim CFO since July 2012. He will continue to oversee the company’s finance, accounting, treasury and investor relations divisions, and he will also assume responsibility for the performance management, information technology and operational analysis teams.
McKenzie joined Watco in 2007 as senior vice president, chief accounting officer and corporate controller and served as senior vice president of finance and corporate controller before being named as interim CFO. Before joining the Pittsburg, Kan.-based transportation company, he served as CFO and treasurer at SiriCOMM from 2006 to 2007. From 2005 to 2006, he served as director of financial services for The Empire District Electric Co., and from 2001 to 2005, he served as president and CFO of Fast Freedom, a subsidiary of The Empire District Electric Co.
