Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation has acquired the bulk liquid food products transportation business of Palmetto, Fla.-based Hawaii Intermodal Tank Transport. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, which OL&T made through its affiliate, OL&T FoodTrans LLC, it will acquire rights to the Hawaii Intermodal Tank Transport brand and integrate the business with its existing Optimodal business unit’s intermodal tank services. In addition, HITT’s founder, Bahman Sadeghi, will join OL&T’s leadership team.
“It is HITT’s ability to deliver environmentally responsible and sophisticated temperature-controlled, high purity logistics solutions for road, rail and ocean transport that earned them the competitive edge and impressive growth that drew OL&T’s attention,” said Robert Shellman, OL&T president and CEO, in a written statement. He expects Odyssey will make additional acquisitions this year.
