Hapag-Lloyd will boost rates for all cargoes and container types on its trade from Japan to the Persian Gulf, starting June 1. The increase will be $300 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.
The container line will also raise rates for all cargoes and container types on its North Europe to East Asia trade route, effective June 1. The hike will be $150 per container.
Additionally, beginning June 1, Hapag-Lloyd will have updated terminal handling charges in Antwerp, Belgium; revised import demurrage and detention charges in all Turkish and Greek discharge ports; and changed currency adjustment factors and bunker-related charges from and to North Europe, the Mediterranean and South and West Africa.
