Noatum Ports has appointed Boris Wenzel as its new chief operations officer, effective May 2.
Wenzel will succeed John Erwin Thomsen, who is retiring from the Spain-based maritime terminal operator. Thomsen became Noatum’s manager and was hired by the infrastructures fund of JP Morgan in the acquisition process of Dragados in 2009. He has more than 30 years of experience in the maritime and ports sector.
Wenzel is the former CEO of DCT Gdansk, a Polish container terminal company. He has experience in the ports sector, including in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has also worked for PSA International, Macquarie Bank, ESCO Group, Bangkok Bank of Commerce, the French Embassy and Ernst & Young.
