Jonathan Daniels, executive director of the Port of Oswego, N.Y., since 2007, has been named executive director of the Port of Gulfport, Miss.
Before his term at Oswego, Daniels was president and CEO of Eastern Maine Development Corp., where he oversaw operations and development of a six-county economic development district.
He also was the director of the office of economic and business development for the city of Bangor, Maine, and previously served as managing director of the Port of Baton Rouge.
Daniels is scheduled to start at Gulfport in June.
Matt Wypyski, the port authority’s chief operating officer, has been interim director since Don Allee resigned in October.
