UTi Worldwide has opened a logistics center in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
The 461,000 square foot facility is the newest and largest of UTi’s five logistics centers in the country, said Brian Dangerfield, UTi president for the Asia-Pacific region, in a written statement.
The center has 101 double dock doors and houses 30,000 pallets of inventory for 100 clients, primarly in the high tech, fashion and beauty, consumer and retail industries. It is located about 20 minutes from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and 500 meters (about 1,640 feet) from Taiwan’s Highway 2.
“Besides the basic [third-party logistics] warehousing, distribution and inventory management capabilities that UTi offers, this facility is adaptable to the requirements of several industries such as pharmaceutical, healthcare and wine and spirits which may require temperature-controlled environments,” Dangerfield said.
