Kuehne + Nagel has opened a new facility in Mobile, Ala., to expand its footprint in the Southeast.
The new office will focus on offering logistics solutions to companies from the aerospace industry, as well as from the oil and gas and marine sectors. It is located near major interstates with access to the East Coast, Gulf Coast and Atlanta’s international airport.
“In particular, aerospace has been a key industry for Alabama, now home to more than 400 aerospace companies, providing services in the fields of space, defense, maintenance, repair, manufacturing and related segments,” said Juergen Gentzke, vice president of the Southeast region of Kuehne + Nagel North America, in a written statement. “Our new Mobile location enables the effective implementation of our ‘Supply the Sky’ aerospace logistics portfolio in the Southeast.”
The “Supply the Sky” program offers supply chain solutions for aerospace companies in the field of maintenance, repair, overhaul, ground handling and in-flight services.
