Kansas City Southern has partnered with CANACERO, the national chamber of the iron and steel industry in Mexico, to prepare for the growth of the Mexican steel industry and develop strategies for dealing with international markets.
“The growth of near shoring has created new automotive and appliance factories in Mexico,” said Yesica Gloria, KCS de Mexico subdirectora de ventas carga general, in a written statement. “These industries consume a great deal of high quality steel.”
“Partnering with CANACERO keeps KCS plugged into this growing market,” Gloria added.
“The Mexican steel industry is a principal driver of growth for KCS,” said David Eaton, KCS de Mexico director de ventas y mercadotecnia, in a separate notice. “Speaking with industry leaders, it’s apparent that the Mexican steel industry sees KCS as a vital link in their production systems.”
