United Arab Shipping Company will launch three trans-Pacific services from Asia to the U.S. Pacific Southwest and Pacific Northwest in cooperation with China Shipping Container Lines.
UASC will be a vessel provider in CSCL’s existing Asia to Pacific Northwest service, ANW1, as of mid-May, through the deployment of two 4,250 20-foot-equivalent unit vessels in that service. UASC will also market this service as AWN1.
The carriers will introduce a joint South China-to-Pacific Southwest service, in which each of the partners will be deploy three 4,250-TEU vessels. UASC will market this service as AWS1.
Additionally, UASC will be in CSCL’s existing service from Central and North China and Korea to Pacific Southwest, AAC1. UASC will market this service as AWS2.
The port rotation for each of the services will be as follows:
- AWN1: Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo and Shanghai in China; Busan, South Korea; Seattle; Vancouver, Wash.; and back to Nansha.
- AWS1: Nansha; Yantian; Xiamen, China; Los Angeles; and returning to Nansha.
- AWS2: Qingdao and Lianyungang in China; Shanghai; Ningbo; Busan; Los Angeles; Oakland, Calif.; and Qingdao again.
