CMA CGM has announced multiple service changes:
- A second weekly direct call to Punta Caucedo in the Dominican Republic has been added to the carrier’s Mediterranean-Caribbean trade connecting the Mediterranean to the French West Indies, the Caribbean, South America, Central America, Windward Islands and Leeward Islands.
- New calls in Sweden and Norway will be added to CMA CGM’s existing Scandinavian and Baltic feeder. A new call in Stockholm will be added to the weekly fixed-day FAS Riga Klaipeda Feeder, starting April 4 with Helgaland, voyage 1Q062R, and a new call in Brevik will be added to the FAS Norway Feeder, beginning April 9 with Wega, voyage KV171R.
- Cheng Lie Navigation, the CMA CGM Group’s intra-Asia provider, will launch a new service, the VLS, on April 9. VLS focuses on East Asia and connects Japan and South Korea to Taiwan, China and Vietnam.
- A new fortnightly call to La Rochelle, France, will be added to CMA CGM’s Atlantic Feeder service as of May.
The carrier will also increase rates on its trade from the U.S. East Coast and Gulf Coast to the Indian subcontinent by $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container, effective April 18. The hike applies to all equipment types except refrigerated containers.
